My Smart phone addiction πŸ˜³πŸ˜’πŸ˜žπŸ˜±

Well hello there….. it has been a hot minute since I came on here…. my excuse …..a lot has happen to me loll…..

I am now a mummy of twoooooo….

who would have thought … when I started this blog (although i haven’t been consistent with posting content) I was a single girl …. and now I have got a full house …. somebody shout with me and say GLORY!!!! πŸ€—πŸ’ƒπŸ’ƒ. Hahaha!!!

Before I start ranting on the joys and difficulties of motherhood (I can write a book about that I tell ya…loll) let me focus on the topic for today…”SMART PHONE ADDICTION”

I have a serious addiction to my phone … at first I always use the excuse of easy accessibility / I am a business woman / I am an entrepreneur/ I need to market my business etc to hide my addiction lollll…. Well Yesterday, I realised how addicted I was to this gadget of mine…..

Right ok …..”let me give you small gist” .. yesterday whilst I was in church my phone “mysteriously vanished” or rather someone who sat next to me took my phone “by mistake” πŸ‘€πŸ‘€… At first when I realised that the phone had “vanished”… it felt like one of my children had gone missing lolll …. yes I know what you are thinking how can I compare a phone to a child ….I had to quickly repent and tell myself … “come on mamie… it is just a phone”. However, i was devastated… all I could think of was …. “everything I do is on that phone …. why would anyone just take my precious away from me πŸ™ˆπŸ™ˆπŸ™ˆπŸ™ˆ…

According to Scientists, Parents Who Are Addicted To Their Cell Phones Affect Their Children’s Development πŸ‘€πŸ‘€πŸ‘€

“A study published in Child Development Magazine evaluated families with at least one child of three years. This is the crucial stage at which children develop emotional, linguistic, social, and behavioral abilities”

The researchers found that the more distractions occurred with the cell phone, the more behavioral problems were seen among the children, such as tantrums, aggressive reactions, and annoyance …πŸ˜³πŸ€”…. chiaaa….. I so need to change lol

Please help me answer the questions below:

  • What has been your experience? Are you addicted to your phone?
  • Do you notice a change in your child’s behaviour when you are on the phone or your phone rings?
  • Do you give your child your phone to play with/ watch videos on it?
  • What is their reaction when you take it away from them?

please share your experience below ……

And as I would normally say more rant to come xoxoxo

Take care x

Ps

My phone that “vanished”, miraculously “reappeared” or should I say it “was returned” back to it’s rightful owner ….. who turned out to be ME πŸ€—πŸ˜‚
